Let’s Talk About The Yukoner Appreciation Week!
On this occasion, we would like to share an exciting success story that has marked a milestone in our journey as a web and app development company. We are pleased to introduce you to the extraordinary project we undertook for Yukoner Appreciation Week 2023, held November 2-4 this year and hosted by the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce.
The Challenge
When we accepted the challenge of creating the app for Yukoner Appreciation Week, we knew we were taking on a unique responsibility.
The week was intended to honor Yukoners and boost their local economy by promoting consumption among small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, who deserve a digital platform that reflects the essence of the community and provides an interactive and unforgettable experience.
Our solution
From day one, our development team immersed themselves in Yukon’s culture and values to understand what matters to the community and make the app a great tool to support the development, control, and execution of the big event. We worked closely with the organizers to conceptualize and design an app that would serve as a comprehensive guide for participants and encourage active participation and connection between citizens and local businesses involved.
The app included innovative features such as a list of participating businesses sorted by proximity to the user and alphabetically in case GPS was not active, a list of discounts offered by the businesses, a profile of the companies with promotions, and a location with map, individual newsletter registration per business to receive personalized information to the user’s email address. In addition, a QR reader for the realization of the “Check-in” or visit to the business.
Surprising results
During Yukoner Appreciation Week, the app became the central tool for participants.
Interactivity and community connection were elevated to new levels, and we were honored to have contributed to the success of this unique celebration.
