In this second installment of our Meet the Team series, we’re highlighting more of the people who drive Bizont’s projects forward — from backend development to business strategy, to R&D.
Marcos
What do you focus on in your role at Bizont?
I’m focused on business development and strategic decisions at Bizont, especially around our work with Truecon and Yukon Connect. That includes figuring out where we’re going, how we get there, and making sure we’re aligned across teams and partnerships.
What’s a development trend or technology that excites you?
I’m really interested in how AI is being used in traditional but critical areas—like cancer detection. Not the flashy, trendy stuff, but the real-world applications that have deep, lasting impact. That’s where I think the tech makes a difference.
What’s one project at Bizont that you’re especially proud of and why?
The first phase of the Covid Passport. It wasn’t about tech or complexity—it was about timing and response. The world was still in shock, and so were we, but our team stepped up when it mattered most. That kind of commitment is something I’ll always be proud of.
If you could automate one thing in your life, what would it be?
Dishwashing. Not just the dishwasher part—I mean the whole process from start to finish. If someone solves that properly, I’m in.
If your job had a theme song, what would it be titled?
“Que Corran” by Los Caligaris. It’s kind of a cheesy Spanish rock track, but it hits home for me. It’s about letting go of the pressure to always be running, and just walking forward instead. Definitely a good reminder.

What do you focus on in your role at Bizont?
R&D and Software Development.
What’s a development trend or technology that excites you?
AI is really exciting. We’re already working on a project that uses AI, and it looks very promising.
What’s one project at Bizont that you’re especially proud to have contributed to and why?
Mostly new projects. For example, the mobile app for the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce — an app for the yearly event, Yukoner Appreciation Week. It’s the kind of project you see in production, being used, and enjoyed by people.
If you could automate one thing in your life, what would it be?
Meal cooking. It would be wonderful to have every meal you want ready at a specific time of day.
If your job had a theme song, what would it be titled?
This is the hardest question of all — I like almost every genre of music. But right now, I’d choose: To Be King by Akira Senju.
Francisco
What do you focus on in your role at Bizont?
I primarily focus on backend and full-stack web development, and recently I have worked with OutSystems. My responsibilities often involve optimizing SQL queries, managing server-side logic, and integrating external APIs.
What’s a development trend or technology that excites you?
I am excited about the advantages of automation and AI-based tools to streamline backend processes. In addition, working with low-code platforms like OutSystems has taught me how to look at development from a different perspective.
What’s one project at Workplace that you’re especially proud to have contributed to and why?
The project I am most proud to have been involved with was for Yukon Health and Social Services (HSS). It was the most challenging project, but also the one I learned the most from, not only on the technical side, but as a professional.
If you could automate one thing in your life, what would it be?
Repetitive tasks like debugging and troubleshooting.
If your job had a theme song, what would it be titled?
Would be a trash metal song called “Don’t forget to commit”.
Hugo
What do you focus on in your role at Bizont?
I focus on solving web and custom related issues and making sure clients are taken care of in a timely and effective manner.
What’s a development trend or technology that excites you?
I’m really passionate about AI. Everything related to it fascinates me. Lately, I’ve also been learning to program video games in my free time, and it’s something I find incredibly fun and interesting.
What’s one project at Bizont that you’re especially proud to have contributed to and why?
I created many unique animations for Bizont’s previous website. Some of them weren’t used, but others were featured on the site for a long time, and I’m really proud of that creative contribution. I really enjoy building websites that feel different, especially when I can include original animations that make them stand out. I also built a small but clever tool for Beringia that lets users read hover text on mobile devices, which was a fun challenge to solve.
If you could automate one thing in your life, what would it be?
At work, I’m trying to automate as much as possible using AI. In my personal life, I’d love to automate house cleaning.
If your job had a theme song, what would it be titled?
I’d go with The Office theme song. Not because that reflects my actual work environment, but because it’s one of the few songs I love that relates to work, and I really enjoy the series.
