Whitehorse, Yukon — July 21, 2026 —
Bizont is proud to support Humane Society Yukon with the launch of its new website.

Humane Society Yukon holds an important place in the community. For many Yukoners, it is where families meet a new pet, where animals receive care and where people turn when they want to help. Much of this work is made possible through local fundraising, donations, sponsorships, volunteers, fosters and community support.

A clear and accessible website helps community members understand where support is needed and how they can get involved.

The launch comes at a time when Humane Society Yukon is facing growing pressure, including a reported 70% increase in animal intakes, rising costs, housing challenges and increased demand for foster and adoption support.

As the territory’s primary animal shelter, a clear and accessible website helps community members understand where help is needed and how they can get involved.

The new website was developed in response to user feedback that important information was available, but not always easy to find. Visitors can now more quickly navigate to adoptable animals, foster opportunities, volunteer registration, events, donations, board information and other ways to support the organization.

Bizont worked closely with the Humane Society Yukon team to translate practical, non-technical feedback into a website experience that is easier to navigate and manage.

The project also included documentation and support materials to help the organization maintain the site over time, even as staff and volunteer roles change.
